How Does Movement Help?
For some, quieting the mind and getting true rest from the thought world is best achieved through movement. The groundedness, body awareness, and physiological regulation desired are achieved through focused physical practice, as opposed to one that involves attention to stillness.
Physical self-awareness is increased through focused movements. Whether you have experienced trauma or not, increasing your body awareness will increase attention and cognitive functioning and help you gain greater insights into your inner life.

How Do Sessions Work?
Movement sessions are presented with attention to your individual needs, learning style, and physical or cognitive limitations.
Feeling powerful in your body helps you to override faulty conditioning. You will feel (possibly for the first time) an empowered sense of self. It is in this space that you are primed for clear seeing and knowing personal truths.
Sessions may include:
- Instruction on how to access the energy of your solar plexus through posture, breath, and movement.
- An introduction or review of a variety of strikes. This may include upper and lower body movements.
- An opportunity to practice boxing / martial arts strikes and combinations adapted specifically for empowerment and emotional release.
- Discussion and sharing your personal experience with the practice.
As you become more comfortable with the movements, repetition will naturally ebb into more involved combinations, but never beyond your comfort.
